Our Service Approach
Manual therapy, Therapeutic Exercise, and Patient Education
We provide physical therapy examination and treatment for a wide variety of painful musculoskeletal problems ranging from headaches to foot pain. Some patients need us to address just a specific area of the body but we are able to expand this to a comprehensive “full body” approach whenever necessary. At Everson Orthopedic Physical Therapy and Joint Venture Rehabilitation, we use manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and patient education to minimize or abolish pain.
As a leading orthopedic physical therapy practice, we provide extensive “hands-on” care in examination and treatment to specifically identify key issues and improve them to help the affected area of the body work effectively with the rest of the body. We can incorporate a broad spectrum of manual therapies from joint and soft tissue mobilization for the spine and extremities to myofascial release and craniosacral therapy.
Exercise is critically important in the physical rehabilitation process. Patients are instructed in specific exercises to address their individual needs for any region of the body. This includes core strength and posture as well as functional strength, flexibility, and endurance for daily or athletic activities.
We place a strong emphasis on patient education. An educated patient is far more likely to comply with their home program. We explain physical therapy exam findings in plain English as well as the purpose of our “homework/home exercise program”. We also provide extensive individualized instruction to improve functional performance for activities as simple as getting out of bed and performing basic daily activities as well as advanced activities such as recreational and competitive sports.
